North
Wiltshire Front Garden |
 |
Design
Brief
To create a design that provided visual interest and privacy together with parking
spaces for two cars. Existing contours to be modified and unified, rather than
totally rebuilt. The creation of a welcoming front area. A small low-maintenance
water feature capable of attracting wildlife was also required.
|
| |
Front
Garden
Irregular sized, drab concrete steps and poorly designed terracing, with
unfinished crumbling edges, leave an exposed, ugly view from the front living
room window. |
 |
| |
A
cramped patio, lumpy lawn and untidy hedge, descending
down a long slope to an unkempt area. Small shed attached
without architectural unity to outbuilding. Exceptional
countryside views. |
|
| |
Design
Brief
To extend patio area and make the most of countryside viewing opportunities.
A formal area near the house, with wilder area lower down, linking directly with
the surroundings. Small trickling water feature to provide interest and relaxation. |
