Apart from a tiny mound studded with small rocks and minimal planting, the immediate surround of this large bay window consists of uninteresting grass, grown right up to the building. Favourable south-west orientation.

To provide stimulating year-round interest at close quarters to the sitting area, within the bay window.
  Plants
Yucca, euphorbia, osteopermum, stipa, verbena, heuchera and miscanthus, set the scene with a succession of bulbs, (galanthus, crocus, narcissus, muscari, iris and allium) that ring the season’s changes.
